Note: This topic has been unedited for 1717 days. It is considered archived - the discussion is over. Do not add to unless it really needs a response.

And just as you were thinking "finally, I can lay back on the grass and (freeze to death if you're in the Northern Hemisphere), look at the (blazing sun if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) and (stomped to death because you're lying in the middle of the road looking at the sun, idiot)".

As we'd like to encourage our American friends that their silly holidays are important to us, I'd suggest launching this year's Turkey Ball on November 26th which, I believe, is Thanks Giving in the US.

For those who haven't the foggiest what I'm talking about, here is a reminder. The Turkey Ball, created by our heavenly father, Thinker, is a like the PLS...

..Only much worse, and is trying to progress the best of bad humor.

Categories are:

  1. The Aristocrats - keep the spirit of the always relevant The Aristocrats alive.
  2. Best Bad Taste Article - we always need more of these
  3. The Master Goa Tse Award for Digital Imagery - like Benson's 3D house of pancakes. Only with loads of Goatse.

So what we need now is:

  1. Date - are we good with the 26th (even though it's not a Monday)
  2. Judges - we need three judges for each category. As always, judges are not permitted to participate in the contest.

Put your judgery candidation here:

The Aristocrats

  1. Judge:The Thinker
  2. Judge:TheLedBalloon
  3. Judge:15Mickey20

Best Bad Taste Article

  1. Judge: Mhaille
  2. Judge: Electrified mocha chinchilla
  3. Judge: Rabbi Techno

The Master Goa Tse Award for Digital Imagery

  1. Judge: Modusoperandi
  2. Judge:
  3. Judge: Multiliteralist

I'd be happy to judge Best Bad Taste Article, unless anyone else particularly wants to (in which case, it's all yours). Rabbi Techno Icons-flag-gb kvetch Icon rabbi Contribs Foxicon FOXES 15:06, November 5, 2009 (UTC)

Suggestion

The problem I've always had with the Aristocrats competition is that people spend a lot of time (well some time) crafting their aristocrats joke and then when the contest is over, the pages just sit there in userspace. How about, we create Uncyclopedia:The Aristocrats and copy them all into one article? -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey)  12:22, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

I'll sort that one out. I think we can create a category like the Sojourn one. ~Jewriken.GIF 12:32, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
I was thinking more of a page with all the jokes copied and pasted into the text. It would be like the movie, where a bunch of aristocrats jokes follow one after another. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey)  12:34, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
I thought the same thing earlier, while I was looking through last year's entries. A category seems the best bet to me, as it could include everything entered into the Aristocrats (and let it be said that a collection of everything that has ever been entered into an aristocrat is a museum exhibition I would most definitely not wish to visit); whereas an article or page, if it contained all past entries, would become a disjointed mess made up of wildly out-of-context stuff. Rabbi Techno Icons-flag-gb kvetch Icon rabbi Contribs Foxicon FOXES 12:40, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
So it would be like every other page on Uncyclopedia? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 13:41, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, pretty much. Only more so/worse. :-) Rabbi Techno Icons-flag-gb kvetch Icon rabbi Contribs Foxicon FOXES 13:45, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
So, has this happened yet? Because I kinda wanna show this thing off. - T.L.B. Baloon WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 00:48, Nov 10

THINKER

Um, hi. Remember me, the Grand Marshal of this shitfuck parade? One of the Aristocrats judges is going to need to kindly bow out. Thanks. --THINKER 06:12, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

You're not the boss of them! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 06:24, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
It should, two years after I devised this soiree, be inherent that I am head judge of that section. Had someone contacted me about it, I would have made that clear. --THINKER 07:17, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
Every time I see THINKER displayed on a page it looks like a the bat search light. "CALL THE THINKER!" Anyways, if anyone wants to pull out that's their prerogative. Otherwise, you can do the unnatural thing and write a new masterpiece? ~Jewriken.GIF 09:02, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
Mordillo = <3. Can I? Of course I can. That fact, and the fact that the competition was my brainchild, is a good 80% of why I (thought) I retained inherent judgeship. Regardless though, I'd feel quite slighted should I not be allowed seating on the judges panel solely for the fact that no one mentioned to me that the competition was beginning, paired with my happenstance in missing this particular VD thread at its conception. Thusly, if the choice is completely delegated to the current judges, I appeal to them in the hopes that one shall relinquish their duties in light of these facts. Certainly I am the boss of no one; however, this contest does mean a great deal to me, and I would like my rightful seat as head judge, as it has been since the beginning. --THINKER 13:37, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that Guildensternenstein would gladly step aside for thee, melord. However, he is currently unavailable, please leave a message after the snort. *SNORT* FreddThe Redd 22px-Flag_of_Egypt.png 18px-Foxicon.png 13:44, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
I'm happy to drop out and let someone be moved to the section I was judging. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
Me too. I suck. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 18:53, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
Now now boys, neither of you suck. Well I mean Mhaille does, but not nearly as much as Modus. The point is, one of the existing judges must be willing to make that move: as THINKER as it would be, I'm not going to randomly pick a judge and move him (unless that action is unanimously consented to). Led, Guild, Mick, speak! --THINKER 22:32, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Have my spot. I'm gone, since no-one ever seems to consider me welcome anywhere. -- DameViktoria Heart_anim.gif Icons-flag-gb - (Contribs) - (Talk) - (Block log) 01:23, 12 Nov

I think you're valuable. Granted, I am quite mad. Mad! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:32, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
Too late. I'm truly quitting this time. No use sticking around if all I get here are insults. So I don't have any features or other "significant contributions" equals me being useless per someone. So why stick around taking that shit. I've already got enough of stress from live outside the internet. Heck, the next thing I'll do is a shot of alcohol and a sleeping aid. Not the smartest move, but I can't really see any other way of sleeping without nightmares. So what if I miss yet another accounting class? I'll fail that course anyways. And no use even trying, since my job's not gonna stay secure for long, so I might as well quit while I'm ahead and go back to the military... I'm not worth anything to the community here based on the drama, so why stick around brooding over it? No use whatsoever. -- DameViktoria Heart_anim.gif Icons-flag-gb - (Contribs) - (Talk) - (Block log) 01:51, 12 Nov
Have you considered relaxing, laying back and chilling (though not necessarily in that order)? Nothing here is important. That goes for the rest of you Uncyclopedians, too. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 02:08, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
This is way beyond what a bit of relaxation with a good book and hot chocolate can fix. It's been proven again that people can't be trusted and my assumption to people being able to act as responsible adults has been plain naive. So I exit with banging doors and throw a match into the petrol I doused the building with as I go... -- DameViktoria Heart_anim.gif Icons-flag-gb - (Contribs) - (Talk) - (Block log) 04:47, 12 Nov
